INTERESTS

My interests and experience center around the nexus between sustainable development and innovation (both technological as well as of traditional non-profit/business models).

I am currently most interested in moving into a business or non-profit development manager positions (marketing, sales/fundraising, and strategy) as well as program manager positions with:

- Renewable energy (all types) and clean technology companies beyond the seed stage
- Organizations promoting renewable energy
- Organizations broadly focusing on technology innovation and commercialization
- Privately-owned companies committed to social and environmental sustainability (also considering sustainability manager positions with public companies)

I am also considering associate-level positions with boutique sustainability consulting firms and, to a lesser degree, sustainability consultant positions with larger consulting firms.  I am open as well to independent consulting assignments requiring a unique blend of business and sustainability know-how.

Last, I am targeting U.S. home-office based program manager, project officer, etc. positions with international development organizations and 6-9 month field-based assignments in international development (in small business and civil society development as well as environmental management).  I might also consider consulting positions in international trade promoting opportunities for small business or fair trade.

As I have been living the life of a global nomad for the past few years, I am now eager to stay in one place for several years and to be a part of building something great.  I am focusing my search on U.S. metropolitan areas from Baltimore down to Atlanta but would consider just about any other city if the job is a strong match with targets.  I am open to up to 35% travel and my relocation costs would be minimal.
